Long before I became a Women’s Health Dietitian & Personal Trainer, I was just a girl trying to “fix” her body without understanding it.
For years, I struggled quietly with:
- irregular, unpredictable cycles
- weight fluctuations and stubborn fat
- constant cravings
- feeling tired despite “eating clean”
- anxiety around food
- being afraid to eat more
- pushing myself in the gym until 11pm, then going to bed hungry because I thought that’s what discipline looked like
I followed every trend online.
I tried every “hack.”
I restricted harder, exercised more, ate less, avoided carbs…
And yet, my body wasn’t changing — and neither was my confidence.
I remember looking in the mirror wondering,
“How can I be doing everything right… and still not feel right?”
And that was the moment everything shifted.

It wasn’t my body that was failing me —
It was the information I was following.
So I made a decision:
If I couldn’t find answers that made sense, I would learn them myself.
Not from influencers.
Not from trends.
But from real science.
That decision changed the entire trajectory of my life.
How Long It Took Me to Heal
It wasn’t an overnight transformation.
It took years of:
- studying nutrition and dietetics
- understanding women’s physiology
- learning how hormones actually work
- unlearning toxic fitness beliefs
- nourishing my body properly
- rebuilding my relationship with food
- training in a way that supported, not punished, my body
Slowly, my cycles regulated.
My cravings calmed.
My body composition changed.
My energy returned.
I stopped obsessing over food.
I stopped fearing carbs.
I stopped trying to shrink myself.
Most importantly —I finally felt at home in my body again.
